Appointments can be made by calling either our North Bergen office at 201-868-2849 or our Jersey City office at 201-792-7788. During regular business hours we have live receptionists answering phones: No annoying voicemails, no prompts to listen to, no call backs necessary. For your convenience, you can book your appointment on our calendar. New patients please try to arrive 15 minutes earlier in order to fill out paperwork.
It is important to bring a photo ID, and, if required by your insurance, a referral from your primary doctor. Please be prepared to inform us of all medications you are taking. Records of pertinent labwork, xrays, or prior endoscopic procedures are also helpful, if available, as this will better assist our physicians in assessing your medical condition and developing a plan of care. Also, please be aware that if you have a copayment for specialist visits, our office will be collecting it at the time of the visit. We accept cash or major credit cards as payment. For patients who have deductibles for office visits, you will be billed after we submit the invoices to your insurance and receive an Explanation of Benefits from your insurance outlining your payment responsibility.
We try our best to accommodate all patients to be seen within 1-2 weeks. Once you arrive for your appointment, you can expect to be seen within 15-20 minutes. Please realize it is sometimes difficult to stay on schedule due to the unpredictable nature of each individual patient’s condition, as well as emergencies which may arise from time to time. Some patients may therefore require more time than others. We believe in providing each patient the appropriate amount of time needed in order to provide the utmost in quality care during their visit.
It is generally our policy to have a personal assessment of each patient prior to performing procedures. This is for the benefit of the patient. A detailed history of medications, medical history, list of allergies, and a physical exam are helpful in assessing both the individual patient’s treatment plan and the individual instructions for bowel preparation prior to Colonoscopy. There are certain individual instances where a Colonoscopy may be performed without a prior office consultation. If you are interested, our office staff can assist you in determining whether this is appropriate for you. Download the Colonoscopy form
After a brief check-in process with a receptionist, you will be placed in an exam room where you will have your blood pressure measured, your weight recorded, and you will be asked about medication use and the purpose of your visit. If it is your first visit, there will be forms that you need to complete. Each patient is seen and examined at every office visit by a Board Certified Gastroenterologist. We do not have Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, trainees, nurses, or any other type of providers assessing patients. Download the Patient form
Both office locations have parking lots adjacent to our offices.
We are in network with most major health plans. Please ask our receptionist if your insurance is accepted.
